We stayed at Riversounds a number of years ago and was disappointed when lockdown cancelled our next trip there. However, the disappointment didn't last long when we got to stay at the townhouse in Brecon! Central location with amazing walks within 30min drive. Beautifully decorated with the most comfortable bed! To finish a days walk back at the town house in the Huge bath was perfect!

Stayed at the lovely Country Chic cottage with my wife and two young children. We had an absolutely fantastic time. The cottage is fantastic. It had everything we could hope for and was stocked with essentials before we arrived. My wife and I relaxed as soon as we stepped through the door and the kids were just so comfortable there...It's just so comfy and warm! We loved having the wood burner on in the evening after a long day exploring. I also couldn't possibly say enough good things about John and Jacqui to do them justice. They are great hosts and went well out of their way to make sure we knew where we were going and had everything we needed.
I stayed at the riverside apartment in June. It was a lovely setting with everything me and my partner could have wished for. Jacqui was a lovely host giving us tips on where to walk and the apartment was lovely and clean. The bed was comfy (I'm a fussy sleeper). I'm planning my next trip already as we loved it! Thank you!
Incredible setting at Riversounds with a patio balcony overlooking a small waterfall. The surrounding area is great for exploring, the scenery is breathtaking. John and Jacqui are great hosts, the accommodation is lovely, with many nice little touches. The bathroom is on a mezzanine floor with a rather charming spiral staircase linking to the ground floor. The kitchen is rustic in style and is stocked with all you could need to get you started in the morning (bread, milk, cereal, filter coffee, tea etc). The bed is very comfy and there is a separate seating area complete with a log burner and an internet tv. It’s an ideal location to shut off from the world, explore and relax. The local pub (200 yards up the road) is also great. Highly recommended and will certainly be back in future.

The pictures of Riversounds do not do this venue justice. It is a beautiful, scenic, magical location. Lovely little touches within the cottage make the stay really memorable. The hosts are so lovely welcoming and friendly and have the best advice re sightseeing. The cottage is close to all the wonderful landmarks. The river sounds are so relaxing. Four days for us wasn’t enough. Will definitely be back. Let’s give a special shout out to Albus the family’s friendly dog who came to spend time with us and visit. Lovely pub within walking distance (coach and horses) that does delicious food and really friendly service. The canal is right by the cottage so you can take a stroll and see the locks and boats, sheep (of course!) and pony’s. Beautiful cottage. Beautiful location. Wonderful hosts. Highly recommended.
It’s a lovely house at Country Chic Cottage and the hosts are very helpful and provide a lot of warm touches. The house is beautifully decorated and there’s a good sense of love in the home.
The apartment at Riversounds was amazing, a great space in a great location. The hosts were exceptional and Albus was very welcoming! There is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area, you won't struggle to find anything to do. We'll definitely be considering going back.

Jacqui’s place is beautiful-beside a waterfall, steps away from a great pub, a short drive to climb Table Mountain, and great hospitality.

Laura and I highly recommend Jacqui and John's lovely airbnb at Elderflower cottage. We just wanted to completely relax for a few days, and it was perfect. The wood burning stove, grand piano, comfy bed, lovely location, internet TV (yes, we watched our favourite Netflix series!) all added up for a very chilled out break. The location is ideal for exploring the Beacons on foot, by canal or driving further afield - however, we chose to do none of that this time :) We didn't see much of Jacqui and John (as we were more or less hermits!), but they were very warm and accommodating. Albus (the dog) is adorable.
Thank you to Jacqui & John for a wonderful weekend stay at Country Chic cottage! We LOVED the cottage, it is the perfect mix of cosy and stylish! Absolutely beautiful. You could not fault this cottage. And all the extra touches make Jacqui & John fantastic hosts! Thank you for the great selection for breakfast. I think the highlights for us were firstly the location of course, the views all around the cottage are breathtaking - you are surrounded by beautiful green countryside and mountains. And the free standing bath which was so relaxing after a long day of hiking, with a bonus of the view whilst you are bathing! Me and my boyfriend went for a great 5 hour hike, and ended the day in the New Inn for a delicious steak pie and homemade cider! If you stay here you have to visit the New Inn! Thank you to Jacqui & John for arranging a table for us :-) I would come back to this cottage in a heartbeat!!

We loved our stay here at Riversounds. The location was perfect - there were plenty of walks and nice places to eat. The apartment was lovely and we really enjoyed the sound of the river outside - it was very peaceful. Jacqui was really helpful and we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.
